Appeals Development
Appeals development is exhausting and exacting work, and if you need to file appeals your most likely at your wits end already.

When in court you are now dealing with the Law behind Medicare. Remember that Medicare was enacted by congress and is governed by Laws rules and regulations such as the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) The USC (United States Code of Justice) the SSA (Social Security Act) and the MBPM (Medicare Benefit Policy manual) to name a few.

So now your faced with 30 to 40 charts to appeal. Knowing from experience that the average page count of an appeal written by our staff is 17-22 pages in length, and you're on a sixty day time period from MAXIMUS to file all of this documentation to the ALJ court.

Do you have the time to:

  • Research all of the regulations cited for denial and decipher what it actually means in sixty days.
  • Then develop compelling and convincing arguments for a judge?
  • Type 500 plus pages of customized unique appellant arguments with supportive evidence
  • Properly format it into legal format.
  • Print it catalog the evidence into exhibits and sent it all to the court?

Contact us and we will give you an objective straight forward evaluation of your charts and report to you about whether they have what it takes to get paid if appealed. This can easily save you 10k or more in fees. We do not believe in taking your money when it is obvious that defeat is the most probable outcome.
    It's just not good business.

Our team has spent the last 8 years working in a demonstration state; more specifically Southern California where fraud, abuse and waste have been abundant. Yet even in this setting we have recovered over 142 million dollars on behalf of our clients.

Experience combined with tried and proven strategies are what we bring to the table. When interviewing a consultant or attorney to assist you, make sure they are in front of the CMS ALJ at lest 3-4 times a month and have a database full of current ALJ decisions, case study evidence, and relevant supportive materials to review and rely upon when developing cases to present. If they do not, it may be wise to continue to interview consultants.

Each judge is different, each patient and episode is different, each appeal, and approach is different.

Simply stated... There are no shortcuts to success.

      ALJ and DAB Appeals
